Boots! and ponies Jul. 8th, 2006 @ 06:18 pm
So I went to the swapmeet today, and snatched up these boots seconds before the lady put them back into the box. $3...yup.

Also got a Baby Romperooni and Bumblesweet for $1 each.

Repainted a pair of Nero eyes Jul. 4th, 2006 @ 03:26 pm
So I've officially started work on my ganguro-inspired Pullip custom. Even though I don't have Nahh-ato yet. (haven't even ordered her...) But at least I had the eyechips to work with. They were a pair of Nero eyes, I just painted the backs pink, purple, and pearly white.

Here was my workspace (minus paint brushes & a small cup of water):

and the eyes when they were finished:

After they had dried, I tried them on Estrella over her existing eyes, just to see how they'd actually look on a doll, and they're exactly what I was going for.

I don't know if anyone else uses my method of painting. For most colors except black, I take regular white or pearly white acrylic paint (sometimes other light colors), and mix in really fine chalk pastel shavings until I get the exact shade I want. (I just have to make sure I mix the shavings in really well so there's no clumps.) It's much easier to get the correct shade this way, and I don't have to spend money buying tons of paint I'll only use very little of.

Rovam for sale! Jun. 20th, 2006 @ 02:14 pm
I'm taking offers on my customized Rovam. She's had new faceup in pink and pearly white, a "tattoo" on her chest, and pink nail polish. I'm not really that good at customising, I just changed her because I wasn't bonding with her, and I still don't like her. :p So if any of you need custom bait, or whatever...make an offer. (I would like at least $45 for her, since Rovam is getting harder to find) I'd really like to sell her as soon as possible. I have feedback on the Pullipstyle forum under the username freezerpop.

She comes with her scalp, not currently glued on (there is still some glue residue around the scalp area) Otherwise she's in good condition, with a couple of light scratches near her left temple.

I take paypal only (no CC or echecks, please!) and will ship anywhere. I can put her in a Pullip box if you'd like.

Falling for a new style Jun. 3rd, 2006 @ 07:33 pm
So I've been reading up a lot on Japanese Gal styles lately...and it's reeling me in. I've always been interested in Fruits styles...but this is somewhat different. I love the tanned skin, bright makeup, adorable accessories & nails.

I actually bought some lotion with self-tanner last night (the vaseline brand...It didn't stink and I've heard it has a higher concentration of tanner). I'm paper-white and I need some color because I just look completely dead. It says results should show in about a week with daily use. I've only used it twice so far and I'm seeing some nice darkening. It's not as orange as I thought it would be. I really want to try a less gradual tanner, though.

I have to be at work in about an hour. Bleh.

So...I found a Leprotto for sale on Y! Japan. ¥89,000 Who the hell would pay that much for one Pullip? (me, if I had it...^-^; )

» Missed deadline
So I missed the deadline for Next Top Pullip two weeks ago...oh well. There's always next cycle. Here's a pic of Solstice anyway. I've since given her her beauty mark, a little "eyeliner" and more pink eyeshadow.

I really want to get her a new wig.

I found this "lightweight modeling clay" at the Daiso...I've used a little bit of the pink. It turns into a hard rubbery foam when it dries (Like the stuff flip-flops are made out of) and I don't know what to make with it. @_@ I have a packet of light pink and a light green.

» Fourrure's Outfit
I'm thinking about selling my Fourrure outfit, minus the purse and shoes. All in great condition. Any offers? Please leave me an email at ookellioo@hellokitty.com ^__^

The shades ARE included, just not in the photo.

I WANT MY PULLIP BACK. Why did I ever sell it...I miss it so bad now. I keep seeing really cute ones and it just makes me want to cry. I'm so jealous of everyone who can afford them...I know I still have my mini, but it's not the same thing.

And is it really that much different from spending $$ on games/other stuff that's the same price...what makes dolls such a waste of money, if I like them so much...Like me buying a DS was okay but buying a doll that's slightly cheaper is just silly, even though I'd probably enjoy it more.

During a visit to the mental asylum, a visitor asked the Director what
is the criteria that defines a patient to be institutionalized.

"Well," said the Director, "we fill up a bathtub, we offer a teaspoon,

3. Would you use the bucket?

"Oh, I understand," said the visitor. "A normal person would choose
the bucket as it is larger than the spoon."

"No," answered the Director. "A normal person would pull the plug."

I'm so stressed and hurt I'm actually physically sick. I don't want to move from this chair because my whole body hurts. Everything inside of me feels so sore. I'm nervous and panicky and I'm seeing things...and I'm alone.
» Cute!
I found these today...I remember having a few little rabbits like them when I was a kid. I think they're noses are missing...but they're incredibly cute anyway. ^_^ The mouse even has a little poseable tail. <3

» *cough*
Why am I sick again? I have this at least every 2 months. I can't go to the doctor because I don't have any insurance. I cough until I throw up and my throat is a raw veiny mess, my head feels like it's going to explode, and I can barely even sit up straight. I just want to go to bed and sleep until it's over...but I can't...it makes the coughing worse. All I can do is take really hot showers and sit here and drink scalding hot tea to ease the throbbing pain in my throat...and hope it passes by wednesday when I have my next job interview.

I haven't slept in well over 24 hours...I think I'll just pass out on the desk for a while.

I really don't mean to be a bitch. I'm sorry but after being alone for hours, having no one to talk to, and being bored out of my mind WILL make me grumpy. I just get lonely and it makes me complain and feel like shit, I can't help that. And I'm pissing myself off with it as well.
